For those that have not already heard in the forum, this translation is at least on hold, if not cancelled. The code takes too much work to deal with in this particular rom for me to spend time on. And there are other translations of this out there that are further along, anyhow.

Just an update... I've been receiving help on the next patch release and just need to get their patch and my patch to work together. Once that happens, a new patch will be released.

The next patch is ready. This patch translates some card names (including the energy cards), it re-translates the part of the intro that was done so that it makes more sense and finishes more of it, the name of your rival and the name of Dr. Ooyama and it translates what the guy next to the computer says.

The second patch is out. This next patch translates more of the menus that you see in the Lab and finishes most of the Deck Machines in the right room.

The first patch is now out. I haven't updated my site to make room for the patch, so it's just under the heading of "Patches" on the Downloads page for now. Although this doesn't translate everything I wanted to have done for the first patch, it does translate enough to get started playing it. Besides what was listed below, some of the intro and some more menus have been done as well as updating some of the menus listed below.

The work on this is going well. The Main Menu, most of the Start-up Screen, most of the Deck Menus, most of the Fight Menus and one Pokemon name (Machop) have been done as well as translating the Yes/No choices. Just as in Pokemon Crystal, the Pokemon names and attack names will be shortened. I may work to lengthen them, but that won't be for a long time yet. I won't be releasing a patch until I get more completed so that it is more playable. I have had one offer to help translate this game, so maybe it will get going soon. Also, I should have a mailing list set up soon (when I change to a new mailing list for the other games). You can discuss this game in the forum, but no rom requests!

I have decided to do at least a partial translation of this game. So far the main menu is translated and the table file is started.
